Rental self-check guides
How to copy or save a rental listing page on Android Chrome
On Android Chrome, you may be able to copy text directly from a rental listing page. If that does not work, you can save the page as a PDF and use Chintai Checker to read the text.
Main points to check
- Try copying the listing text directly first.
- If copying does not work, Android Chrome may let you save the page as a PDF.
- The selected PDF is read in your browser and is not saved to the server.
Target pages
This guide is for rental listing pages that can be opened in a browser, such as SUUMO, at home, or LIFULL HOME'S. It does not apply to every app-only screen or every saved PDF.
Method 1: Copy the text and paste it
- Open the rental listing page in Chrome.
- Long-press text on the page.
- Choose Select all or select the part you need.
- Tap Copy.
- Paste it into Chintai Checker.
If you cannot select the whole page, copying only the cost, notes, special clauses, equipment, or contract condition sections is also okay.
Method 2: Save the page as a PDF
- Open the rental listing page in Chrome (for SUUMO, also check the note below).
- Tap the three-dot menu “︙” in the upper right.
- Choose Share or Print.
- In the print screen, choose Save as PDF.
- Return to Chintai Checker and choose the saved PDF from “Read text from PDF”.
- Check the extracted text before running the self-check.
Caution and privacy
Menu names may differ depending on your Android or Chrome version. App-only screens or image-only PDFs may not be readable.
On SUUMO listing pages, open collapsed sections such as “show more” or “details” before saving the PDF so the text is easier to read.
Pages such as at home may not have collapsed detail sections, so they can be saved as they are. The selected PDF is used only in your browser to read text and is not saved to the server.
FAQ
What if I cannot copy the whole page?
Copying only the important sections, such as costs, notes, special clauses, equipment, and contract conditions, is also useful.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is read inside your browser and is not uploaded or saved on the server.
Can app-only screens be read?
They may not work. A browser page opened in Chrome is more suitable for this helper.
Questions to ask before signing
- Did you copy the cost, notes, special clauses, or contract condition sections?
- If you used PDF extraction, does the extracted text look complete enough to review?
- Are there unclear items to ask the real estate company or property manager before signing?
Make a checklist from pasted rental listing text
Paste text from a rental listing page and Chintai Checker will organize items such as initial costs, renewal fees, cleaning costs, special clauses, and contract conditions. It does not fetch external websites or store the pasted text long term.
